From 2 November to 14 February, Headstone Manor's free museum opens Thursday to Sunday only, closing at 3pm. Santa, trails and exhibitions to 3 January.
Headstone Manor and Museum, Harrow’s moated manor house on Pinner View, cuts its hours for the winter from Monday 2 November 2026 to Sunday 14 February 2027. The museum opens Thursday to Sunday only and closes at 3pm, and the Moat Café follows a similar pattern. Entry stays free, and the winter programme runs from a Remembrance trail in November to Santa in the Great Barn in December.
The quick answer
From 2 November to 14 February, the museum opens Thursday and Friday 10am to 3pm, and Saturday and Sunday 11am to 3pm. It is closed Monday to Wednesday. Entry is free, last entry is 30 minutes before closing, and the car park on Pinner View is free. Until Sunday 1 November it keeps its usual Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm.
Opening times
| Until 1 November 2026 | 2 November 2026 to 14 February 2027 | |
|---|---|---|
| Museum | Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm | Thursday and Friday 10am to 3pm; Saturday and Sunday 11am to 3pm |
| Moat Café | Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm | Thursday to Sunday, 11am to 4pm |

The museum says last entry is 30 minutes before closing, so 2.30pm on winter days. The café serves hot food until 2.30pm. Since 1 April 2026 Headstone Manor takes card payments only. The Great Barn opens to the public only on event days (Headstone Manor, visit; Headstone Manor, FAQs).
Some ticketed events run on days the museum itself is shut, such as the Santa sessions on Monday 21 to Wednesday 23 December and the free Toddler Takeover Day on Monday 23 November. The event ticket is what counts on those days.

- Christmas and New Year closures. The museum has not said whether it opens on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day, which fall on its usual winter opening days this year (Thursday 24, Friday 25 and Saturday 26 December, and Friday 1 January). We will check in early December.
- The 2027 exhibition programme after 3 January, and any February half term events before winter hours end on 14 February.
